Phillips Family | Richardson, Texas Family Photographer
I LOVE THIS FAMILY! Everything about them. They are fun, spunky, real and have fierce family bonds!
Tonia reached out to me to book her family shoot because even the college kids would be in town. Everyone was going to be together which doesn't happen much for them anymore.
We booked it, planned it and shot it.
They were their real raw selves while I was there and it really helped me to tell their family story and show what a normal day looks like for them.
Soon after delivering their set, they made a big and last minute decision to move from their home.
This home was the one they raised their children in, the home that they brought them home from the hospital to, the home that had marks on the wall as they measured their children's growth. It was the home that they had so many memories in. Tonia was so grateful she got the pictures when she did, or she wouldn't have them now. She was moved to tears just thinking about it.
This is why I do what I do!
Saving these memories for families, even when they don't know that a "last" is coming up. This was the last time everyone was under that roof.
Even though I'm a documentary photographer and don't pose people for my pictures, I will, at the request of the family, get a group shot of everyone looking at the camera and smiling. I know those photos are special and important too so we can take the last five minutes to got a shot if wanted!
